Channel Mechanics delightfully welcomed Damien McDonagh to our team in July 2019. Damien takes up the role of Senior Software Developer with our development team. Damien has over 12 years’ experience within the IT/Technology sector. Here he predominantly worked in the area of e-commerce and online sales / configuration tools. Having started his career with Nortel Networks out of college, Damien brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team.
Damien graduated from Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) in 2004, where he earned a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. From here he progressed to The National University of Ireland (NUI Galway) to complete a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2006.
Outside of work Damien is a DIY enthusiast. He’s happiest when a DIY Project comes up at home. Likewise, Damien is a massive sports fan (#Mayo4Sam), while also finding time to enjoy music and keeping fit. Speaking of keeping fit, he likes to cycle and is a member of Ballintubber Cycling Club.
